FISHING MAGAZINE // TIGHT LINES
PHOTOGRAPHY // LAYOUT // TYPOGRAPHY // ILLUSTRATION
The idea for Tight Lines was to create a fishing magazine that would release each season to prepare anglers for the upcoming changes and how to fish them.
This was somewhat of a passion project for me as doing the photography gave me a reason to go fishing as often as possible.
In order to organize the magazine to suit the target market sections were created and colour coded to answer specific questions; Location (where), Line Lessons (how), Leaving Time (when), and The Catch & Release (what). The thought was that the anglers reading these magazines tend not to be interesting in reading too much. By creating sections or "chapters" in the magazine it allows the reader to find what they're looking to learn about faster so they don't have to do as much reading.
You can use the arrows to flip through the full magazine.
ABOUT TIGHT LINES
Tight Lines is an Ontario fishing magazine that can give people a reliable source of information into the fishing world in Ontario.
Fishing is great but catching is better. There’s a lot to know if you want to spend more catching.
Tight Lines provides all walks of anglers with the knowledge to take their fishing skills up a level. From where to go, when to go and what to use, we have everything anglers need to know to get a leg up on the competition.
The problem many new anglers have is that the sheer volume of conflicting tips and misinformation makes it very hard to figure out what to do and who to listen to. Tight Lines is made to cut through all the noise and provide everyone a chance to get more fish into the boat or onto the shore.
